"Once and Eagle, Always An Eagle"

Recently, I’ve noticed news accounts that report individuals as “former” Eagle Scouts.  I would like to set the record straight.  During our council Eagle Board of Review, we announce to the candidate that the Eagle rank is NOT the end of a long journey, but the beginning of new duties and responsibilities in our scouting family.  It is a position of honor that one will hold and be held accountable for, for the rest of his life.
